hi Rowie mwah mwah - it is possible none were made. - there are of course no details of anyone else in Nazareth. Oxyrhynxh where the whole town archive was purposely buried around 300AD - contracts, sale of land of coourse! and some census returns ( for that nome)
The gospels are POST Paul's letters. and seem to be --- oo that a good idea - why dont we record the life and that time he helped out in the pub....and whether he loved him mum

Locusts, you listen to your teachers, you read your bible, but you never ask ‘how?’ or ‘why?’ Why, for example, is Joseph’s genealogy included in the New Testament? If he wasn’t Jesus’ father, what’s it doing there? Or an easy one. How can a single star indicate to travellers a specific village - or even a specific country - or even a specific continent? It simply doesn’t gel.

As a 15yr old new convert to christianity, this is one of the first question that I asked when I started to (voraciously) read the Bible.
It made no sense.
Matthew and Luke gave 2 different geaneologies and neither made sense.
If one (unspecified which one) was of his mother, then that was null and void as parental kingship came through the fathers line.
The other, (Fathers line) was null and void as he had no Earthly Father.
Joseph was a non-entity.
Theres a hundred and one other reasons why Matthew & Luke's bith narratives don't add up either. But that for another day.

"Christian apologists and most lay Christians assume on the basis of 4th century Church teaching that the gospels were written by the Evangelists c.50-65 AD, but the scholarly consensus is that they are the work of unknown Christians and were composed c.68-110 AD. The majority of New Testament scholars agree that the Gospels do not contain eyewitness accounts; but that they present the theologies of their communities rather than the testimony of eyewitnesses."

On the assumption that Jesus existed and died in 33AD, the gospels were written at least 30 years later than that, almost a lifetime at the time, by people who did not witness any of the events that they "described", and almost certainly never met Jesus.

Naomi24 18:35 Mon 21st Jun 2021 /Locusts, you listen to your teachers, you read your bible, but you never ask ‘how?’ or ‘why?’
////..1. I think you're completely wrong in what you're saying about out , how?’ or ‘why?’ because I'm looking for accurate knowledge {meditation is important} not bits and pieces so therefore your assumptions is incorrect . this is a question you are asking.
Naomi24 Joseph’s genealogy included in the New Testament?
/// Jesus - Joseph,s is of Judah,, The genealogy come through the man not the woman {but Mary and Joseph’s is of Judah-(Mt 1:6,7; Lu 3:31) Matthew traces Jesus’ legal right to the throne of David from Solomon through Joseph, who was legally Jesus’ father. Luke evidently follows the ancestry of Mary, tracing Jesus’ natural descent from David.

////2- when reading this chapter stop and think about what it is actually saying because this star or bright light is moving and then it takes a direction 2 to Jerusalem where Herod the Great lives.. why ?? then reading on Herod he Great is King. Then we see that they follow the star to Bethany where Jesus is - but Jesus now is not a baby any more but a very young child ?? but does not say how many magi were ? but these are gives of 3 which they present to the mother ??? so you need to make up your own mine ??? where star or light comes from but I would suggest this light does not come from God Almighty when you continue reading the episode.. [Herod the Great -king is an executes - children from babies - 2 years old } The star, or light ” then, must have been a device of God’s enemy Satan, ho would go to any lengths to harm The Messiah. How ironic that the “star” and astrologers are portrayed in Nativity scenes as emissaries of God!—Matthew 2: 1.9-11. 16 .Matthew 2: 1.9-11. 16 .

Locusts, I know the story so no need for all that or the bible references. The fact is, according to your belief, God was Jesus’s father - and yet you make a spurious case for the inclusion of Joseph’s genealogy. In my opinion that was included, along with Mary’s, because Joseph and Mary were Jesus’s birth parents - and you’re quite right - they could both trace their ancestry back to King David - making Jesus the rightful King of the Jews. Sound familiar? No magic involved.
