Mail Won't Open

i can't open my e mail icon, i click on it and nothing happens.... help

i have tried over and again, shut down the laptop but nothing works, any clue as to why this is the case.

not just mail but click on weather web chart and nothing happens, whats going on.

its all applications, could it be the mouse, it is working otherwise i couldn't post on here, but its not lit up?

all the icons like camera, calendar, etc won't open, can anyone help as can't access my e mail at all.

Have you inadvertently disabled it via a function key?

Fn & F4 on mine disables the mouse/touchpad. F4 has a mouse symbol on it.

the mouse works, i am using it to type this.

its all the other icons, applications that won't open either - i can access this site no problem,

could it be a Microsoft problem? i will have to call someone like EE to see if they can help out, doubt it though.

i get so far with the troubleshooter and get stuck...

i can open my mail at least in Chrome, but the other icons like camera, photo's etc won't open.

Reboot and try again. Probably just frozen.

hey presto we are back up and running, spoke with a really nice guy at EE who said power off and keep finger on power off button for some seconds and it should reset, which it has done, whoppee - can now access my laptop and will know in future what to do if it goes off again.
