I am now seventy years old. What nice things do I have to look forward to?
So far, the older I get, the earlier it gets late.

Yes, suddenly you are 70. I had a big party - you can't stop it, so enjoy! Buen's advice is good. Doing my best to career usefully into the grave - all quite fun, apart from the health bits and pieces which just have to be coped with and take up more and more of your time. You'll be able to feel good about doing your bit for the planet when you drop all of those ads for funeral plans (which will now come through your letterbox on an almost daily basis) straight into your recycling bin ;-)
Isnt 70 the new 60?
i'm 70 years old too ,

Oh what happened to you ?
Whatever happened to me ?
What became of the people we used to be
Tomorrow's almost over , today went by so fast
It's the only thing to look forward to ,the past
I’m 75 in November and there’s not enough hours in my day to do the things I like, enjoy it !

I'm writing more short stories - realised I need to get stuff down . For the same reason I am contemplating a justification of my life - a sort of biography so my kids may have half a chance of understanding me. It is quite a spur really. It's also freeing to go through the horrors of will-making and signing those horrible bits of paper which hand over power if you get gaga. Not nice at the time.

So, get all the bits done and just really do all those things you have thought of doing and go places. I went to Thailand to see an old school friend! Had been putting it off for years and I now intend to go again when possible. I know this isn't on at the moment, but there is still a lot to do. Just use what time you have is left in the way that you think is best. :)
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink
The years go by, as quickly as a wink
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
I had a fab party for my 70th too Jourdain, I asked them all to dress in either red or silver,or red and silver…and they did 100%
This is my cake , there were red and silver balloons everywhere , red tablecloths, silver napkins , best night ever

To be frank I've never enjoyed myself more, free to do as I please, come and go anywhere I choose, and have more or less what I want. As soon as the weather is looking good again I'm off to Scotland for 2/3weeks. Just because your 70 it don't mean your over and out, only if you think that way. My Mum said when she was 70 she thought that the end may be getting nearer, she's now 100, so who knows how long you may go on.
Brilliant cake Bobbi!
I am amazed how patient people are
Made with me in mind Jourdain, actually I gave the cake maker a photo of me in that dress and bolero ,standing up I hasten to add and I asked for this pose, it was fab, lol
