I missed the taking the knee rubbish, I mean when's it going to stop?

No idea - Uefa won't like this though - wait for them to take the Wembley wheels off in the next few days...
BBC pundits said Denmark or Czech Republc. Then a pop up came on screen that it is Switzerland and Ukraine! My head hurts!
Definitely Sweden or Ukraine Carole, they kick off at 8pm. Switzerland play Spain in one of the other quarter finals.
Well, that was a boost for us!..
Thank you Mozz71. The BBC confused the issue!
Maydup, you really are a sourpuss. The venues for the competition were arranged long before the tournament began. Had England not won their group, they would not have been at Wembley today, we would have been in Copenhagen or Hungary. Wasn't only the England team who got to play all their group games at home.
Funny how the next Euro’s are to be solely held in Germany, almost as though this one was our turn but UEFA decided to spread it around Europe
??

How was it England’s turn?
They decided to do this multi city thing which I always thought was a bad idea although as it turns out it might have been for the best given the pandemic: if the tournament had been held in one country with restrictions there might have been lot more barely filled stadiums.
An awful lot of money has been saved by fans not having to fly all over Europe.

England is well respected by UEFA, as a matter of fact in contrast to the way FIFA has behaved. The Champions League final seems to be held at Wembley every other year :-)
And England was the only country to enjoy home advantage in the last sixteen, the way it worked out
"On 6 December 2012, UEFA announced that the 2020 championships would be held in multiple cities all over Europe to mark 60 years of the tournament's existence. Platini reasoned that this was the logical decision at a time of financial difficulty across Europe."
Well done lads! but I wish the UK tv providers would do something about the balance between the commentary & the crowd noise.

Whether it's ITV or BBC the voices are almost (sometimes entirely) inaudible. Does anyone agree?
I had to sometimes switch to the German version where they do it better.
They have to play the winners of the Den v Czk next. After hammering Ukraine. (who are abysmal)
I didn’t find that.
But having spent a season watching games in empty stadiums I don’t think I’d have minded!
Ahh Platini that stand up fella.

I posted ALMOST as though it was our turn not a given right.
Your boys took a hiding, khan. ;-)
What i want to know is why wasn't Prince George singing the National Anthem? How anti-British is he? :-J
// Your boys took a hiding, khan. ;-)//

They're not MY boys Spicey, I have a large cross of St George flag hanging outside my house to taunt my neighbours - who all seem rather subdued this morning!
I'm not a football fan but I watched some of the match - and our flagpole is flying the Cross of St George. Well done them!
Do you live in Frankfurt Khando ;-)
Arksided, No, I live in a small village on the river Neckar, below the university town of Tübingen.
Wow I was joking, nice one :-)
