New Sony Xperia Z5 Phone - My Own Ringtone - Help Please!
4 Answers
Have just set up successfully this Z5 using all he same details as when I set up my Z3 compact. Everything is working well but for one thing.....
On my old phone I had put on a ringtone which I downloaded from my PC. I did exactly the same this time and lo and behold it appeared, as before, in my File Mgr app under music.
I clicked on it and it played and below the tune it gave some options like move, copy etc. but I cannot make it appear in my sound ringtone list on my phone. When I went into the old phone it showed separate to the list of about 20 options under ringtones at the bottom of list so..........
how do I get it there please?
I managed to choose a sound for Gmail and for SMS from the lists and am at the moment using a sound from the ringtone list - no probs but would like my personal tone.
Thank you
Moggie

You can use any music file (or, indeed, any other audio file) on your phone as the ringtone by clicking the + button when viewing the list of built-in ringtones.
