Mozz, injuries aside, the excuse most commonly used for Nick Pope not being the England number one keeper is that his distribution of the ball is poor! Even on a bad day, his distribution would have been a darn sight better than Pickford's was v Denmark and he is a much better shot-stopper. Then again, i would say that, wouldn't i? I always believed a goalkeeper's job was to prevent the ball going into the onion bag. They'll be taking corners, next :-/
