This is difficult; This is Tricky: This isn't easy; This is difficult; He'll do well to get on from there. If he's talikng about duffers like me, I could understand it, but come on, these are the best golfers in the world. Gerrim off!

Golf is not easy as most people find out - because there's a certain way to swing a club and most people don't naturally do it - it's a 'U' shape that's needed rather than a 'V' meaning that most people pick the club straight up on the back swing rather than drawing it back to get their weight on the right side and then up with the arms, a pause at the top and then down we come, swinging through with a weight transfer on to the left and up with the follow-through.
The V swing results in slicing and at worst shanking - broken windows here you come!!!

Thanks for the replies. I don't think Ken Brown had the best playing record, did he? He also had a reputation for not taking the game seriously. During one competition, his caddie threw the bag down and walked off because he said Brown was just messing about. Brown asked for a caddie from the spectators. I actually do turn the sound down, not just on golf, but all sports that I watch on TV. I think the commentators and the rest get money for old rope. The "Ken On The Course" thing is just a complete waste of time in my opinion. Thanks again.
Petanque for me. Cheap to buy three boules. Only a bit of gravel needed, not a multi-acre golf-course. No need to join a club. Any spectators can sit next to the terrain and see all the game without walking miles.
And I still don't believe that anybody can be good at golf. I mean, you can't really whack a ball that far and know where it's going to end up.
Obviously I haven't a clue about the finer points. :-)
