My initial thoughts were that it was meant to convey a holiday romance. ....BUT it doesn't work for me!

The beach/coast card, the pretty girl, the short but hand-written letter, the seashell and the locket all suggest that. However, the picture of the girl should be more carefree, and I haven't a clue what the marbles are meant to represent.
