They were found not guilty of murder.
The grandmother did contact social services but nothing was done. The poor girl's mother is of 'very low level of intelligence and should never have been solely responsible for caring for her child.
I'm glad both were found guilty as it was impossible to determine who caused the fatal injuries.
Very sad case.

Look at that child, beautiful and innocent, a whole life to lead. Historical injuries prior to being murdered. Can any of us imagine the pain/agony that child went through. I’d imagine death was a happy release for her . We are breeding animals who continue to procreate and that child is the result .

Even worse than the mother who starved her daughter - this precious pair deliberately beat her to death. She must have had a miserable life. Kids can make you see red and once I had to go into another room and scream in frustration - but this ..... Nowhere near long enough sentence.

How so? I felt personally that the child that was starved to death would have suffered for longer but really that's beside the point.
Another beautiful child has died at the hands of the mother and it sickens me to the stomach.
I really, really believe that these monsters need a far harsher sentence and should get the punishment for murder and not manslaughter.
Put them away for life and throw away the key. Bar stewards.
