Durham Gin, which has aromas of pink peppercorn, clerey seed and a tiny bit of elderflower. Its got a slightly savoury flavour and lovely with fevertree light tonic with a slice of cucumber and shaving of celery.
BTW bobbi you should try clamato juice -tomato juice with added dried clam broth and MSG -yum! Makes a lovely Caesar cocktail.
Aunt PG I see you buy that fevertree, I like brandy and dry ginger. Have seen the fevertree range, but not tried it. Question, Is it worth paying the extra for fevertree brand as it seems expensive, compared with others?
Not so long ago I bought some Fevertree tonic as the store had run out of all other brands. I found it to be too bitter and overpowering - ruined the taste of the gin, but that's my personal taste. It certainly is expensive compared with others.
Will give it a try , don't mind paying for better providing its just that. Price normally dictates good, or not so good. But me being me, sometimes you can get stitched up. :0))))
