Have you ever won much?!

I am always entering competitions and did have some luck when i was younger winning theme park tickets etc. But recently been entering money type competitions and was wondering if anyone here has had the surpise of a "nice letter" with a cheque?!!

Yes I have!
I was picked for the winner of the viewers quiz on Bamboozle and won WHSmiths vouchers if anyone saw it it was the quiz from the giant panda!
�50 turned up just last week from those good people at Puzzle Monthly Collection.
I have also won �25 on the Express Crusader and Skeleton crosswords in the past and �20 from the Daily Mail. Never won on their big money crosswords though.
Puzzle Monthly has also picked my entries to win �10 or �20 here and there.
IPC Media who publish Chat picked me for my biggest win ever - a cheque for �300 and guessing at George Clooney's eyes won me �100 from the TVTimes about 10 years back. I also won �100 on the Womans Weekly a long time ago.
I have also won �10 on my local paper crosswords .
I have entered so many prize puzzles and crosswords however it was inevitable that I win sometime I suppose. You really have to keep plugging away at all of them over a long period of time.

I won a Smart Car in 2001 (although the other half asked me why I hadn't won a Maserati instead)!

I use 2 websites, 'theprizefinder.com' & 'loquax.co.uk'

Tips? Nothing's for free, so entering a comp might involve subscribing to newsletters and such, so beware of extra spam - setting up a separate email address is good. Stick to competitions that are limited to UK, you'll have a higher chance of winning than a global comp.

I had never won anything until last summer when I entered the text lottery for Live 8 tickets. I sent in postcards with my name and address as I thought most people would not enter this way - and won a pair of tickets! Great (but very long) day. I just wanted to see Madonna really
