Last night I watched the third episode of the new series of "Our Farm in the Dales". I have thoroughly enjoyed both series and hats off to Matt Baker and his family. So lovely to see a family working together and obviously enjoying themselves and what they are doing, even if it does sometimes go wrong!! During lockdown it was one of the programmes I totally enjoyed without being voyeuristic like a lot of reality shows are. Best wishes to Matt and his family.
I love it! Its a proper farming programme with all the ups and downs and knocks spots off the Yorkshire Shepherdess, which is basically fiction.
The only thing that bugs me is the farm is not in what we would call 'The Dales' it's in the hills around the city of Durham -they are hardly in the middle of nowhere, I think around 15 minutes from Durham city centre. But the rest is real.
I love it too, the family is working hard to ensure that even though his parents are getting on that they can stay on the farm they love.
The way they covered the kid being stillborn was sensitive but matter of fact.
