Atheists, of the many misconceptions believers have about atheists, what are some that you experienced directly in interactions with believers that were especially irritating?

Nailit, forces of nature don’t whizz through the air in machines billowing fire and smoke. I think it’s a great pity that the theory is dismissed so lightly - but man has a problem not only with the notion of the existence of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe but with the thought that some may be rather smarter than we are. Arrogant bunch, we earthlings.

Naomi, I think most UFO's don't billow fire and smoke. I do think the likelihood of extraterrestrial visits is higher than that of a loving all-powerful creator who listens to every one of his creatures through the whole of time (if time has a whole) and sometimes decides to give them a hand.
