Do you think there will be another lockdown this winter. I am in Scotland. I will be devastated if there is. I have organised a 50th Birthday party for myself early January. I see so many people not wearing masks on public transport or shops and a lot of unvaccinated people. It really infuriates me. I will have had booster by this time tomorrow

as far as I can see Europe is following a broadly similar infection rate to Britain's, only later, since the Delta virus hit them later.

NHE or whatever they're called recently started 'age adjusting' all their Covid graphs, figures, etc.
Go look. They tell you 500 times on every page. They even have stand alone paragraphs with reassuring messages like 'Age adjusting figures is a perfectly acceptable process. The EU have been doing it for years' Boy, I breathed a sigh of relief when I read that, I can tell you.
More vaccinated people die of Covid than unvaccinated.
There are very good, obvious reasons for that.
Sometime within the last month the Government decided it just didn't look good. So they called in their behavioural science units, their Sage Covid Panic teams and, well, any honest looking lad in a white coat and asked them for methods to doctor, to massage the figures so they said the opposite to the actuality.
Hence. Age adjusted figures.

Hospitals/ community care/ nursing homes are all under immense pressure at this time of year. Add a pandemic and vaccine refusers into the mix. Not good news . :-(
