My husband doesn’t have a mobile phone so he has requested a Covid Pass Letter. Does the QR code automatically renew on the letter or does he have to keep requesting new letters when they expire?

It's worth saying that the QR codes only matter if you need them to check in somewhere that requires them. And they only expire for security reasons, to protect the holder

As the QR code only contains the same information as is printed on the letter, it will expire at the same time as the letter does. Ergo, Mr SC will need a new letter every month.
I have a paper Covid Pass (from Wales). It does not have a QR code but a long barcode in the top left hand corner (similar to barcodes on grocery items). Are they the same thing?? Thanks

Thanks, I will have to renew when we go on holiday.
The 2 COVID Pass letters sent to me (in England, latest dated 23 November) do not have any QR codes, only the bar codes mentioned by evadora. My letters are both in the form described here:
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1007474/covid-19-vaccination-status-what-your-confirmation-letter-tells-you-easy-read.pdf
However, the information at the link Buenchico has posted (I posted an extract the other day) suggests that the format has changed, and I have not yet requested another letter.
In Wales - if you have a covid Pass/Letter/Certificate it does not have to be renewed as it is on going. I have checked this with the People that issued the Certificate to me.
Perhaps there is a telephone helpline for England/Scotland that people can ring to confirm the rules there.
