Covid Booster
Why are there long queues in many parts of the country of people waiting to get the covid booster
My GP practice sent me a text message to book my booster and flu vaccines .
Then they sent me a reminder
Does it depend on where you live or your age ?

erm that's a bit silly khandro lol //
That's easy to say, but you didn't have a stroke after your second jab, & you were not in hospital after it, & you haven't had an unprecedented (but mild) headache for 5 months since.
Another new strain has been found in France yesterday - so yet another jab?
Actually the stats they pump out every day cover contractions, hospitalisation & deaths, but you never are told how many people have suffered serious side effects - an uncomfortable truth perhaps?

//i'd say it's probably for the best if everyone is a bit more understanding than that..//
Not at all. One of the main reasons why the NHS cannot cope and society is expected to close down to protect it the moment it comes under pressure, is because it is extremely badly organised and managed. It has perpetuated these shortcomings throughout the pandemic and shows no signs whatsoever of improvement. The fact that it is so badly run that it cannot even manage to keep the simple appointments it makes for its patients is no reason for anybody to be understanding, "global emergency" or not. Appointments were broken because the timed clinics which were organised were opened up to allcomers and there's no reason why the people who had appointments should be inconvenienced. Incredible as it may seem, some people have things to do, people to see, places to go (some of their appointments just as important at keeping the country running as is providing Covid jabs). They don't have the time to roam all over the country to keep appointments that are summarily broken.

how do you know they were related? old men have strokes unfortunately it does happen.//
But this old man, (thanks to a good health plan) has periodic full health checks, - blood pressure OK, cholesterol OK, not overweight, very fit (golf &/or cycling every day throughout the year) very good diet, etc. yet fainted & fell to the floor for the first time in my life a few days after 2nd jab, then had a mini-stroke 4 weeks later.
I don't think you would need to be an outstanding physician to see some form of connection there. Take on more? You go if you want to, but as for me, no way José!
