So my girlfriend found her dad's phone in her bathroom and it looked like it was recording she didnt touch it and just moved out of vision and did what she needed. she's +18 plus and this is starting to creep us out any laws? about this? we live in Flordia

Play him at his own game. Make some comments about him/make up a phone call with a friend saying things he wouldn't like and see if dad makes any comments about it so making him admit what he's done in terms of spying.

She has told her mother plenty of times of the things he does, i guess shes just too old to deal with that certain stuff... its sad to see people deal with stuff like this

Shes got evidence, also the phone always hidden with something black or behind something and camera facing towards. She always notices it and just moves out of the shot over covers it "on accident"

why not take the phone and play back what's on it, if its her, then she should take it to the police.

Cause the phone is locked, I told her to just grab the phone and just hide it so he cant find it and when he start questioning for it ask infront of everyone was it was in her bathroom recording

You don't need evidence to report to the police - it is their job to find the evidence

then the next step if she is willing to take it is to contact the police, the fallout will be horrible, but so is what her own father is doing.

The police can get a locked phone open. The next time she finds it in the bathroom suggest she takes it to the police

Don't hang around this man, your father. Get away from that house as quickly as you can arrange it.
Finding a recording device switched on in your bathroom cannot be ignored.
Don't expect support from your mother. After all these years she most likely knows what your father is like and either turns a blind eye for the sake of peace or is in denial about it.
