Council Tax Break

I remember asking this question on here over ten years but will ask again.

I usually have two months break February and March which is nice so I have a bit extra to play with. Do you get two months break and what do you do with the money? Save it, spend it, pay off another bill, put it towards something?

How much do you pay each month? (No need to answer that if it's too intrusive)

I put it towards my heating bills tiggs. Last council tax bill was £94 per month, I have a single person's rebate.

yes, i pay over 10 months (thanks for reminding me i'll have some extra next month!)
usually it just gets used up for general "stuff"

The council tax is my biggest annual outgoing and I wish it could be spread over 12 months.
The extra money in Feb and March justs gets absorbed in to everyday spending.

Mine used to be £130pm at my old house and that includes the 25% single persons discount. Its now £180pm with single persons discount!

Here maybe because it's London, I pay £200 pcm and yes get 2 months off.

I now live south of London, not far from the M25. Old house was a 2 bed terrace but now in a 3 bed semi. Luckily I don't have a mortgage.

I pay over 12 months, it used to be 10 many years ago. I pay £192 a month

The two months break pays the electricity bill which is so much higher in Jan/Feb. We are an all electric household eeek!

£170 per month, 2 bed detached in Norfolk Broads, hence no gas or mains drains.

I'd rather pay council tax than pay a load of private contracts with private companies to take my rubbish, maintain our local green spaces, oversee building regulations, sweep our streets, oversee protected trees, build and maintain childrens' playgrounds, and on and on and on.
What private firm would do any of that? There's no profit in it, unless the local authority paid them, and the LA could only pay them if they had tax revenue.
