For him, Ukraine is something to distract us away from his poor decisions at home, the cost of living crisis, the economy going down the plughole, and his well earned reputation for constantly lying.
He was the worse post war foreign secretary, and a poor woman rotting in an Iranian jail is testament to that.
I doubt whether the Ukrainians are pinning their hopes on Cheesy Liz ;-)

I’m not fan of Johnson or Truss but those previous two comments are “disappointing” (I’m choosing my words carefully).
How self-obsessed we are with own comparatively trivial issues, to see everyone else’s much worse problems in the light of them.
Mr Zelensky made it very clear on Saturday in Munich that he doesn’t think Johnson, Truss and everyone else are doing enough. Whether you agree with that or not, it puts everything in perspective.

I wasn’t talking about the Covid relaxations - pretty obviously I’d have thought - although I largely agree with that. It’s long been time we abandoned compulsory self isolation
I’m less keen on the idea of abandoning free tests but that can’t go on indefinitely either.
Those tests have been a great success and were I believe largely the idea of the great bogeyman Dominic Cummings. Which just goes to show someone like that can be a positive as well as a negative influence
