Ah, yes, but a tall hat is a moot point, and is open to much discussion. The fact that Abraham Lincoln wore a tall hat does not leave him open to sentiments of jealousy, methinks. Anyone of financial means and of good taste (and you, my Lord Byron, are clearly in that category) is able to wear a hat of whatever size and style one chooses. 'Refined', yes, I am sure that you are, and, you are no doubt blessed with good taste. You could quite easily outdo Abraham Lincoln if you so chose. After all, good taste knows no limitations of history or of physical boundaries. I urge you, good sir, to gratify us all, and yourself, by appearing in public with a hat that would put even the President of the United States to shame! I wish you well.
