Yes I'm English and I know you hate us but this was a CB fund thread from your country woman who probably hates us as much as you do but she didn't turn nasty. I was just trying to relate an experience from my youth and that is what I thought the guy was saying. It's to do with the way that some Scot's accents merge words and syllables, so "Pint of" to us sound like "Peanut". Sorry you cannot find an ounce of kindness in your heart.
I 2nd that barry1010. I was in a glasgow bar a few year(s) back with a weggie pal, and ended up blethering(chatting) to about 6 people from 6 different parts of Scotland. This is when I discovered there a lot more accents than just weggie and posh scots, which was pretty much all I'd ever encountered
