I've no idea. But some get found out so, since the asylum system is a shambles, it quite likely that many do not. There have been cases where young men, clearly into adulthood, have passed themselves off as children and others where asylum seekers have been granted asylum on the basis that they face peril at home, only to see them jet off whence they came in order to visit family and friends. The asylum screening process has no way of checking the veracity of many of these claims. In particular, those coming from France are in no immediate danger and an asylum application is open to them there - they simply don't like it where they are. The idea of asylum is to seek refuge from immediate peril or persecution but it is now being abused to such a degree that it is disreputable.

People are trying to justify the unjustifiable. Like Sinn Fein politicians of the past justifying every IRA atrocity. Rwanda is 4,000 miles away, has a decidely dubious human rights records and the location of an ethnic genocide in 1994.

Word reaches us, from no less an authority than the BBC, that things have improved beyond all recognition in Rwanda when it comes to folk getting along so that may put your mind at ease.
Of course travellers can avoid the Dark Continent altogether simply by staying at home and helping sort out their own problems.
Preachy types are in low demand too.
