[Sorry that this post is about an hour or so later than usual this week. I've been catching up on some sleep after a tiring afternoon in Norwich].

A slightly better than usual start for me this week, with FIVE out of seven in the main quiz:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-61416766

. . . but only a rather poor TWO out of five in the junior quiz:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/51318780

. . . and, as usual, I failed to achieve half marks in the sprint race. Just FOUR out of ten for me:

I shall now sit back and study all YOUR scores this week. For proof, here's a live stream of me doing so ;-)

Hi Buen
4
1
7
4,4, and 6. Average, I guess

Catching up with all he latecomers . . .

Very well done to our two extra perfect kids, Twix and Emmie. With scores like you two have managed (across all three quizzes), can I I assume that you've already got your Mastermind entries into the post?
;-)

Anne seems to have played safe by not bothering with the last two quizzes after getting a decent score on the first one! Well done, anyway ;-)

Kwillmott is a near-perfect adult, and an above-average sprinter, but totally unchildlike this week, apparently! (I recommend spending more time playing with your train set, Kwillmott).
;-)

Margo is near-perfect this week, twice over!

HW4 got off to a poor start but then recovered quite well in the sprint event, I see ;-)

Patsy is another one who's good at sprinting but not very childlike. (I suggest spending more time playing with your Barbie dolls, Patsy!)
;-)

Sandy clearly sets his targets high if he reckons that 4/4/6 is 'average'! There are plenty of people here who rarely ever achieve scores like those ones!
Thanks Buen.
I'm usually very child like. I don't know what's happened!.. :-))
Very late to the party….5/7,3/5,5/10…and a very late dinner for Robbie
Question Author
I'm sure that you'll be back to your usual childish self next week, Patsy ;-)

Latecomers are always welcome, Campbellking - especially those who're cat slaves like me ;-)

Some good solid scores there too! (Now go and make a VERY big fuss of Robbie, please!).
4/7
2/5

Mixed bag this week!
Question Author
Thanks for keeping me company on 2/5, Tigger - on a week when loads of people seem to have scored 5/5 in the kids' quiz!
4/7
4/5
4/10
That makes me the slightly better guesser this week.
Been away for the weekend and so...
Shady has demanded lots of spoilies and is now sleeping it off in the strawberrybed.
Hope you and yours are having fun and not overdoing it too much:-)
Question Author
At last! Haras2 has posted! I was getting worried!

Well done on your consistency this week, especially that near-perfect 4 in the kids' quiz!

I hope that you've enjoyed your weekend and, more importantly, that you're spoiling Shady something rotten ;-)

I've just been out for the day, looking around 8 posh gardens in a Cambridgeshire village, but that was still far too long for my clingy little Moonbeam. He greeted me as if I'd been away for a month when I got home! Of course, lots of Dreamies soon helped to quell his anxiety ;-)
Sorry - not paying attention again.
Yes, lovely weekend, mainly consisting of garden centres as well as the real thing plus the guardian weekend Xword (we actually finished it this time) and plenty of excellent home brewed
Guinness(?) and Saturday night fish and chips.
Not everyone's idea of a lovely weekend I suppose but it is mine :-)
Question Author
^^^ That sounds pretty close to my own idea of a perfect weekend, Haras2, as long as the 'gardening' bit is only viewing other people's efforts and not actually doing it. I detest gardening and I simply refuse to do any at all!

6/7,5/5 and 7/10 here.....just seen the post!
Question Author
Ruddy 'eck, DTC!

With scores like that, I reckon that you must have spent the entire weekend brushing up on the news ;-)

Very well done indeed!
