No. There are 393 million guns in circulation (in public hands) in the US. The horse bolted centuries ago. Have you seen the story of the shooting in Norway? Just proves that if a ‘nutter’ wants to get a gun, they will do.

Like already pointed out, if someone wants a gun to murder others, it wouldn't be that difficult to achieve.
