No nation runs true democracy; some have a form of it, others aren't advanced or capable enough to even get that far.

Here in the UK the version allows to calling for representatives for a period to support the view of their constituents. It doesn't stop it being called democracy simply because there is no system for the people to dissolve the parliament at any time, for the reasons given in the first paragraph above.
