Just had an email saying they are increasing by DD this month to £253! I currently pay £143 and I am £481 in credit. Needless to say I called them and explained that their arithmetic is miles off, there is no way, even with price increases that a 60% increase is right, especially as I am miles in credit. I think they have an error in their system I have sent them a detailed calculation based on their own predictions for the year ahead and it comes out at nothing like what they say. Anyone else had this? If you are with Octopus check your email.

I'm with BG and am not in credit. When my fixed term tariff ended they did not raise my DD.
Maybe they are putting them up too much so if you think that then consider setting up a variable DD or other payment....BUT to be fair there factoring in the next increase in unit rates- someone might be well in credit now but that could easily get ate up as winter use kicks in and the next rate increase kicks in
Thank you Evadora. It is in their interest to contact me so I shall give them a couple of weeks and if they don't I'll do something about it. I might just go into my account and double the payment as it will be at least that after 18 months. Or I may do as you suggest depending on my mood on the day;-)
im not sure they have to contact you do they LB?
i thought when fixed deals come to an end, you normally have to just pay their SVR
I'm not sure either bednobs. I will see what happens and then make a decision when I've had a look and see what's about.
ps TTT have you looked at their "crystal ball mode" application. It's pretty scary
