England v Germany, in a final, at Wembley! A mixture of expectation, hope, trepidation - and trying to find the best way to make a few bob:-)

I sincerely hope the Lionesses win, and i believe they can and will. The problem is that the Germans - male and female -always find a way. And, in the case of the ladies, they've 'found a way' 8 times out of 8 as far as Euro finals are concerned.

England are favs @ 13/10 with Germany 11/5. Had this game been played in Germany, i would expect those prices to be reversed, so it really is so close to call.

Not quite decided on my bet, but i am favouring the 13/2 shot;

Match result will be England Women
Ellen White - over 0.5 Shots on Target in the Match
Georgia Stanway - over 0.5 Shots on Target in the Match

And, it being the final, i'll be having a tenner on. However, before placing the bet, i'll check that both players start the match.

i'm tempted to have a little flutter on England to win 4-2 in extra time

Unless you've seen such an offer, ael, i think you'd have to wait for the game to be tied at 90 mins, then go for 4-2 as your correct score - CS bets are settled on 90 mins.
thanks ken, if it's 2-2 after 90 mins i'll have a go :-)

In fact, i've just scoured some of the firms 'specials' and i must admit to being a tad surprised that none of them have thought to replicate the '66 90 minute-extra time scorelines. I do honestly believe there would have been a few punters willing to 'risk' a few shillings.
4-2 for 90 minutes is 80/1, ael (2-2 is 14s) but if it were to finish 2-2 in normal time, your 4-2 wouldn't be 'that' much of a price.
Best of luck if you do have a punt. Important thing is an England win - sod the tenner. COYL
I do a weekly acca with a friend and when i send him the selections, i usually sign off with 'UTC' - Up The Clarets. Couldn't do that with The Lionesses, for obvious reasons :-J
KEN, I often see the ".5" on various options but since, in this example, half a shot is not possible, why is not shown as "at least one" ?

That's bookies for you, TCL. It obviously means that both girls have to have at least one shot on target, so, as you say, why not put '1 SOT'? Even a header on target is considered as a SOT, so why not 'an attempt on target'? They really are a different species to us mere mortals:-)

Just been reminded that i have a free £5 off Willy Hill for which i qualified yesterday.

£5 free bet; England win, over 2 goals scored in 90 mins, Beth Mead to have at least 1 shot on target - 6/1.

I'll bet that they come out to play in suspenders and thongs.

Not to be as regards the bets. Had the score remained at 1-0, the 13/2 bet would have been up - Ellen White's header in the first few minutes, then Stanway's looping punt was counted as a SOT, apparently.

I am worried, you can never discount the Germans. Roar on Lionesses.
