Russia - I'm not surprised and yes in our stations there is signage on the pumps.

I went there in the days where you had to pre-buy the fuel you wanted and then fill up, this often resulting in spillages all over the place as folk had over-estimated what they wanted - and a recipe for such accidents. Mind you, the Americans once practised this too.....
