Cyclists Could Face Tougher Sentences

As someone who has nearly been knocked down a few times at pedestrian crossings I am glad of this. Most cyclists would stop at red lights or zebra crossing but there are a few out there who don't.

//i find the majority of cyclists break the law in respect of cycling in the Capital, they are a pain to navigate, ride over red lights constantly and ignore pedestrian crossings.//
I guess it goes both ways, even when you’re trying to navigate the infrastructure that’s been put in place for cyclists?

like tigger, i have been sworn at, spat at and abused by cyclists over the years, all because i attend to my rights, crossing only when its supposedly safe to do so. If the green man light is on then it should be ok for me to cross, but no that's not how it works here. cyclists ride roughshod over pedestrians.... how can that be right.

\\Ah yes webbo, I forgot about those damn scooters as well (also supposed to be illegal, but as usual nothing gets done). The pavements for pedestrians these days are a total nightmare !//
The problem is the Voi ones are legal to be used on the road by one person with a provisional license, but they are being ridden 2 up by children with no license and on the pavement and now more and more illegal ones are being used

//I thought it was the Law that ALL CYCLISTS had to go through red lights as I don't ever see one that doesn't in B&Hove.//
Must be a myriad of RTCs there then involving cyclists? One per day minimum if it happens with such alarming regularity?
Are we talking cyclists or louts on bikes who ride anywhere they please in an abrasive manner?
Lucky I don’t label all motorists the same, the roads would be unnavigable for all road users!
