I think OP is in the US. 'sedan' gives it away.

We'd call it the handbrake but the design is a bit different - it can be foot operated.

As to the answer, no idea.

i think you will find the adjusters is a nylon nut on the cable itself but firstly make sure brake self adjusters are free then slacken off h/brake cable to allow foot brake to adjust up before taking slack up on handbrake a word of warning although not rocket sience as a mechanic over the years i have seen/repaired all sorts of diy jobs please if you are not TOTALY confident of this job take it to someone who is i dont mean to sound obnoctious but if you cant stop well enough said hope this has been some help nick
