xbox 360 hd vga cable.

Help! - i just purchased this cable to compliment my Philips HDTV plasma but the there is nowhere to plug it into my TV! i think i had a DVI (?) socket on the TV. how can i get around this??

there are several types of hd cable available eg i connect using component.

are you saying you have a dvi socket on the tv and you've bought a 360 vga cable?
