There are no moles here so could it have been a fox hunting worms?

Moles .

Probably squirrels burying nuts like they are in our front lawn!
I was watching yesterday! Grabbing the walnuts from tree and burying for future use.
What I call a lawn is actually grass and weeds! We do wildlife not immaculate gardens. Squirrel has now gone into the side grass and weed patch to continue planting. Mmmmm perhaps we will be surrounded by woodland in decades to come.
Would be happy to give the moles and squirrels a new home should the wonderful world of creation become too painful for you.
Could be rabbits

got the copy on that wrong - I have a dodgy 's' key - here we are again:

Up in a JJ tree, on a Cleverjo branch
Now you see me, now you don't!

Sneaky and missterious, I'm adorable
Now, why would you shoot me for fun?
Do you like how fast I run?
I'm not just another cryptic chipmunk
Stuffing my face with nuts,
I'm guess classy and beautiful,
The best part of Paignton’s nature.....

Red pointed Ab Editor ears, I hear you drawing near.
Chuckle, chuckle, caffeine free
I saw you looking at my fine coat.
Fluffy and curious, touch me and I'm called Frip
See Ya--- Life Is Beautiful!!!
I'm stuffing these roe nuts back into my mouth
and digging another sandy hole.
Lovely DTC. Is that your work. Red AB editor ears. Please explain.
I played around on this one - well Ab Editor is a gnome....see the avatar
We have moles too. They have had a great time since the drought digging up our back garden grass and weed patch. All wild life is welcome including our two roe deers who come down to us from the woods
Oh, I see. I used to write lots of poetry. I always got my efforts printed in the yearly school magazine.
paigntonian,i love seeing squirrels in the local park i have no problem with them in the wild,so stop making a mountain out of a mole hill.

It's definitely not a molehill as there are no moles here.
I know that, Sandy. It was in CB so I was trying to jolly the thread with a bit of silliness. Rarely works these days. :-(
Well it made me laugh if that is any consolation.
If that's to me, Frip...thank you. As hard as rolling a boulder up a hill these days....not up a molehill though. ;-)
gness, yes it was to you and thank you for adding a bit of light hearted
humour,it's what we need more often in these dark days.
Don't we just, Frip!
Question Author
AB could certainly use an injection of humour. It's been more than a little morose recently.
