Protest is all about getting attention, so in that sense, this appalling gesture has scored its goal.
But the only point ever in protesting, is to bring about some meaningful change, and pointless gross publicity stunts like this are never ever going to achieve that.
You engineer change by education - by explaining your position, and hopefully getting people to listen to you, and be pursuaded by the strength of your argument, to come round to your point of view.
That can and does result in actual change, which to repeat, is the entire motivation behind any protest of any kind anywhere.
So to simply draw attention to yourself and your own pointless nast behaviour, is never going to address the issue on whose behalf your behaviour is supposedly enacted - human nature doesn't work like that.
If this woman seriously imagines that her appalling attention-seeking nonsense is ever going to do anything except attract the disgust and anger of any reasonable individual, and never for one moment actually address the issue she claims to be raising, then she needs to basic lessons in human nature, and adult behaviour.
Self-righteous bone-heads like this get attention, but never for their cause, only for themselves.
And who needs attention like this?

Not sure who that was aimed at? The one who defaced his statue no doubt?
I sincerely hope they’re not found of wrongdoing and his family are cleared. But what if they’re not? What then?

/Helen Stephenson, chief executive of the Charity Commission, said: “The late Captain Sir Tom Moore inspired the nation with his courage, tenacity and concern for others. It is vital that public trust in charity is protected, and that people continue to feel confident in supporting good causes.
“We do not take any decision to open an inquiry lightly but in this case our concerns have mounted. We consider it in the public interest to examine them through a formal investigation, which gives us access to the full range of our protective and enforcement powers.”
The commission previously raised concerns about the payment of consultancy fees to third parties but said it was later “satisfied” that these specific payments were a reasonable reimbursement for expenses incurred by the companies in the formation of the charity./
You can see how/why these matters have to be scrutinised?

ACTIVITY: Pouring copious amounts of raw sewage into our water supply, endangering the health of thousands.
RESPONSE: Low and Government even approves perpetrator's activity.
ACTIVITY: Put a tiny amount of sewage on a statue which can easily be cleaned off with no threat to health.
RESPONSE: Mighty outpouring of outrage and perpetrator no doubt will be prosecuted.
It's a funny old world.
