I sent a complaints letter to BT regarding my WIfi-broadband last night at about 11pm. They sent me an email to my neighbour's mobile phone saying that everything should be ok by tonight.
So far so good. This is the quickest for me in a very long time to answer your posts - altho the blue circle is hovering.
very sad thing the neighbour who has been making these successful calls for me via her phone from February is now moving house and | am going to miss her so much - not so much - I am devastated.
I am all alone now when she goes.

it's hard to lose someone like that, jj. My sis decamped to Sydney a couple of weeks ago. She was the one who always cheered me up. I do still have jno jnr to talk to every day but he has a wife and wee girl of his own to deal with and I don't like to disturb him. No other family around, though, so I miss my sis.
There's not a lot going on compared to the year when I was born (not that I seek any more now).
1. The Eighth Army (with my Dad) were fighting the Nazis in the Western Desert.
2. The Russians were fiercely fighting the Nazi invasion on the Western Front.
3. USA entered World War 2 after Pearl Harbour attack.
4. Extensive pre-D-Day training on the English south coast.
5. Bombs raining down on London nightly, forcing my Mum to move out.
6. Fierce fighting by British forces against the Japanese invasions in S E Asia.
7. Many Allied Merchant ships being sunk in the Atlantic by U-Boats, with enormous loss of life.
8. Shortage of food and other supplies in UK because of 6, so rationing in force.
9. The Manhattan project gets under way in USA.
10. The Nazis continue The Final Solution (the extermination of the Jews).
Let's hope we never reach that level again.
