///KFC apologises for Kristallnacht chicken and cheese promotion
KFC has been forced to apologise after sending a notification to German customers encouraging them to commemorate Germany’s 1938 anti-Jewish pogrom with fried chicken and cheese.///
I've just shown the KFC item to MrJ2. We are both finding it so hard to believe that no-one stopped it in its tracks when whichever wet-eared young person who had the idea first uttered it.
On reflection I apologise for my post, considering a lot of people cannot afford to feed their families in the current climate and wasting fine food is unacceptable!! Again I am sorry and no harm meant.
I remember reading long ago about a Scots dish which was made by stuffing a dead herring into a crack in a dry-stone wall for a few weeks, and then eating it. I can't remember what the dish was called.
I am prepared to try anything and so far the only thing that I cannot eat is raw fish in any form, even smoked salmon.
I do eat smoked fish (smoked trout is my favourite) but I have to cook it.
Oh, and eyes. Watching my sister in law suck the eyes out of fish totally repelled me
I don't remember what it's called, but there's an Italian cheese that contains live insect larvae (there's another more repugnant word)...apparently now banned by the eu.
I forgot 2 other food horrors...
Durian...the smallest fruit, and there's a very stinky tinned fish from one of the northern European countries.
So, any dish using the above 3....*shudder*
