I am looking to create a border around the perimeter of my front garden .it is approximately 13 m in length but it curves round can anyone recommend a fast growing easy to maintain Bush which I can use as a hedging. ideally I want it to grow to about 3 ft maximum within about 5 years.I was thinking along the lines of perhaps putting a box hedge in or something similar can anyone recommend alternatives thanks

Sorry.. should read BEST border hedging bush!
This may not tick all your boxes, but I often walk past a garden with a very impressive lavender hedge...and the bees love it, too.

was going to suggest lavender or rosemary or both. My mum had a mixed low hedge and it was lovely
I think, lonicera nitida 'Baggersons gold' would make a neat compact hedge.
Without a doubt the best plant for a hedge is privet.
