They keep asking if I'm interested in a job, but they only give me the job title. I keep asking for a job spec, but I never receive it. I can't be interested in a job with seeing the job spec, surely?

Sounds pretty disrespectful to your time and their own time. You have no idea if you want the job if you don't have a job spec (or a salary range, which is a whole other big issue). I'd be inclined to spend your time on applying for jobs where you're actually given the information you need to make some kind of informed decision. A job spec is so basic, it's the least...

Yes, you can't know if you are capable of doing a job when you have no idea what you will be expected to do.

When you say 'ask' them is that via phone call or email?

Hi wolf63. It's all by email. When I asked for the job spec the agency said, "Unfortunately, I do not as the manager has not sent it yet, they tend to go through it on the interviews. However, let me know if you have any questions and if you would like to apply for the role".
Sounds odd to me, but how can I be interested in a job with only knowing the title?

I would never apply for a job if I hadn't seen the job spec, so I'd be looking for a new agency if I was you.
It may be as simple as the job being with spec savers and they're going by the book.
What is the title?

"Administrators and Medical Secretaries Needed"
That's not even one job, it's two jobs!
I would also look for a new agency.
I'm a administrator and let me tell you, the term means something different to everyone.
Yes same type of role we were recruiting for, admin and systems are different everywhere!

Thanks, guys. I'll wait for a proper job spec. It's ridiculous.
