Rowan Atkinson sketch
3 Answers
In Canada, a number of years ago (maybe 10?), I caught the tail end of a show. It was a series of sketches featuring Rowan Atkinson, some of the non-speaking Mr Bean style, and others more Blackadder-ish, with the characters speaking. It finished off with an absolutely brilliant sketch with an empty stage - just a single stool on it if I recall correctly. The entire sketch is done in mine. Rowan Atkinson appears, sweeping up. Suddenly somethings rattles across the floor, which he picks up. It turns out to be a pair of drumsticks. He then sits down at the drum kit & starts playing (still all in mime). I wasn't sure at the time if the drum playing was done live by someone off-stage or if it was recorded. In any event, the sketch had me chuckling for weeks. Does anyone know what show this sketch was in, and is it available on video/DVD or something? Thanks for any information you can provide.
