For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.The song is "Do Ya" by The Electric Light Orchestra from their superb 1976 album, A NEW WORLD RECORD. ELO, founded by Jeff Lynne, Roy Wood, and Bev Bevan, was one of the biggest rock bands in the world in the 1970s and 1980s.
ELO grew out of another great band, The Move, which also recorded a version of "Do Ya" in 1971. Many bands and artists have since covered the song, including Todd Rundgren and Utopia, but it is the ELO version heard in the Monster advert.
Another ELO song frequently heard in adverts and movie trailers is "Mr. Blue Sky" from their 1977 classic album, OUT OF THE BLUE. For more information on this highly influential band, see ftmusic.com.
