watched this for the forst time in YEARS this week. What a load of unbelievable claptrap is was, dreadful writing (do people really talk like that?) dreadful acting all round.
Who was the woman living at jack's pace?
It's become an awful watch imo. Aoife is Cara's mum; her dad was Jack's brother, Ryan. She & Jack had a fling way back when & she was hoping to rekindle it, I think. I don't care that Cara's deaf & it *would* be ok, except that she's such a badly-written, bloody annoying character (as is Aoife). Again, imo.
I sacked it years ago when the team began accompanying plod on door to door enquiries and sitting or listening in when suspects were being questioned, sometimes even being allowed to ask questions.
Have to say, i don't miss it.
//Promoting sign language seems to be the latest to. 'Campaign ' - no bad thing I quess//
I disagree. I don't want to be subject to a "campaign" when I'm supposed to be entertained. If the BBC wants to encourage people to learn sign language they can dedicate a programme to it on BBC4. I can then choose whether to watch it or not.
I haven't watched it since Clarissa, for it was she, decided to go and do investigation in the field and was shown as a somewhat dodgy silhouette bouncing across the screen, apparently traversing extremely rough terrain in her wheelchair requiring the viewer to suspend disbelief in the interest of inclusivity.
Total rubbish now. Used to enjoy the first few series with what’s her name in it but since Emilia Fox has taken that part I find it sleep inducing. Such a shame.
