Fitzys, Tracy5 seems to think this is 8 letters. See link below as it looks like the setter has just broke up the word to fit the grid (very odd).

I’d say tabulate is the answer !! Clue says 8 letters but there are 2 boxes for 4 letters each. Tabu and late. Fits perfectly. Thanks a million. Definitely nets is other answer. Thanks a million to you Klaz and to all who assisted me.

Happy we could help. Still strikes me as odd that the setter has broke the word up into different cells. But it does look like the correct answer.
