Some of the answers on piggynose's cinema thread have got me thinking, have you ever walked out/left in the middle of a film at the cinema and if so why? I did it once, will tell you why in a bit.

Toorak, I fell asleep not long after the beginning of one of the star wars films!
Lottie // I can't watch films with animals in in case the animals get hurt or killed, or even just die.//
Isn't that what happened in Dr Zhivago with the horses?
Yes. I was much younger then and not as emotional. Actually I was 19!
When I saw The Exorcist, I walked out on one particular gory scene and another woman did too! We stood outside taking deep gulps of air and then wandered back in.
yes ttt, it was jungle burger!!
i just looked at a trailer, its so tacky and horrible imho. I cant for the life of me remember why we chose that film!!! i can only assume it was a plan b, as plan a had already started!

I wondered if anyone was going to mention the Exorcist (I've never seen it).
Ken that's a great story, anyone with links to the forces will recognise the old way of doing things. How things change, nowadays there would probably be a protest for even playing the national anthem in a cinema.
I've never seen it but I remember people telling me about it.
I walked out of Finding Nemo, before the film had started, because by the time the ads had finished my young Grandaughter at the time, had, had enough.
Prudie, Military Justice is a unique system. When you are in front of the BC, you are allowed your say, then he will ask, "Do you accept my award?" Now, back in the day, the BC was limited to fining you a week's wages but if you said you didn't accept his award, you ended up in front of the CO and he could throw you in the nick for a month. So, 99.9% of squaddies would probably accept the BC's award.
I was also once fined for not saluting a flag as it was being raised at RAF Cosford during a 3 month photography course there. Once again my plea of ignorance was ignored. Think that was also £20 quid!
I almost walked out of Jurrasic Park for the same reason as fruit salad, ads !! think they were at least 45 mins of them!!

Some of these films I don't know - RH, Rowan, Piggy - not heard of yours and probably wouldn't want to see them based on your reviews :-)
Blockbusters I endured on TV but would have happily left the cinema for because they were so awful include 12 Monkeys, AI, Master & Commander and that all star cast thing on this Xmas including Daniel Craig - comic whodunnit thing, forget the name, bored the pants off me.
1.000.000 Years BC in the year it came out
just a stupid film
I walked out of a Star Wars film for three reasons. The noise was too much, the cinema was stiflingly hot and the person next to me was eating smelly Doritos. I sat in the auditorium until the film ended and my husband emerged, stinking of Doritos!
//That was back in the mid 70s but i don't recall the film.//

It wasn't Virgin Soldiers was it Ken? :))

Never walked out of a film showing. Never went to the cinema to see a film that I knew nothing about. Been chucked out of the ABC minors though. :))
Yes once. Cannot remember the film. Two blokes kissing each other.
Not for me sailor. It was early 70s. Now it’s on TV most nights.
I walked out of Vera Drake, because the abortion scenes made me feel quite ill.
No, but we watched a cluster of dear old girls flounce out as soon as 4 weddings and a funeral got underway ...!!
