Tonight was brilliant. A mix of Irish and English but only one of the Brits cheering for England. He took some good hearted leg pulling and joined us for a celebratory dinner.
When Ireland went behind I was asked to do some praying to St. Sebastian. As an atheist it doesn't come easily so I went for the Doctress chants and spells and it worked!
Fields of Athenry was never sung with so much enthusiasm in our village. The Brit even kissed me twice but I think he may have been in his cups by then.
A fantastic weekend all round. :-)
