Jj I was advised by my GP to take a recommended Pureis Cdb oil and use tumeric in cooking. He knows I can't take prescription painkillers of any strength and he obviously knows my medications. Please see a gp before buying tumeric or any other herbal or spice supplements.
Morrisons often has it, I use it if I can get it as you need so much less. I have also tried dyeing with it it seemed to fix quite well with salt and it's cheap as chips compared to saffron.
JJ you take it in drops under your tongue. Advised to leave 1 minute before swallowing. But check with with GP first. You need to beware. Some oils do not pass the standards. My gp recommended Puris. It is expensive!

JJ - before going down this road you really need to discuss pain issues with your GP.
Have you been diagnosed with 'bad knees' - I know when you asked about operations in the past for your knees you had not actually been diagnosed.
