This used to be a pleasant way to spend a spare day, load the car with a picnic, frisbee, ball and drive somewhere different just to enjoy the scenery and the trip out.
Haven't done it for a long time - is it something you enjoy?
I don't associate going for a drive with pleasure. Driving is a means to an end, getting to my destination. That isn't to say I've never just driven. My woman used to like having me drive us around as a way to get out for a bit, but we've not done that for many years now.
We do this quite regularly but we don’t tend to drive too far. In fact we have driven to the next village which is less than 4 miles away to have a walk and our picnic by the river. Being part of the Norfolk Broads we have free entertainment there from the boat hirers as they make a hash of mooring!
A bit further on is the coast and we’ll go there with a picnic and a couple of fold up chairs.
How well suited I am to retirement!!
I haven't heard of any so-called Broad-Captains commenting on your ability/fight to open folding-chairs, maydup....may be they were too pisshed to make a comment?
