My godmother had thyroid problems and a huge goitre. The thyroid was removed and she lived comfortably for many years afterwards by taking thyroid-replacement medication.

Maybe is on medication for an over active thyroid .

Certainly not a goitre eithe r active or underactive.
A non active thyroid cyst.
Not affecting her hormone status.
Leave well alone
