I Just Took The Lid Off An Unopened Tin Of Coffee

This is what I found...can the foil peel back on its own? There is coffee under the fold and in the rim...so I'm guessing it's been moved since seal broken. Wish I remembered where I'd bought it.

I'm fairly certain I bought it on offer at Sainsbury's, but over a month ago so no receipt. At least it wasn't full price.

Try taking it back to Sainsbury's. For the price of a jar of coffee they'll probably not argue but just replace it. You never know, they might have had several tins back. Maybe someone is going round taking a bit out of all the tins - free coffee.

I'd go down the Nestle route, they may want you to send it to them so they can check for tampering...

yes just take it to a local supermarket who sells that brand and explain that it was like this when you took the cap off
