//1kg Gold Proof Coin//

So what does that mean ?

If I was buying that coin I would need to know how much pure gold is in the coin
Bazile, a proof coin means it was struck to have no marks or flaws in it.
It clearly states it contains 999 gold, as pure as it can get. It is 24 carat
baz: "If I was buying that coin I would need to know how much pure gold is in the coin " - it says in the link 999 thousands pure. Scrap price is approx £50k, hard to imagine that £27k on top for the collectability is a good investment. Well in 100years, maybe. Gold would have to increase over 50% in value to break even. Better off just buy bullion if investment is the idea.

Yep tora -doesn't look like a good investment
As there are only 15 my guess is they will be sold very quickly to Americans and Chinese who are nutty about this sort of thing
Question Author
