A very decent documentary from the Arena lot and Bill Wyman about the rise and fall of the original rolling stone,Brian Jones.Without Jones, the Stones would never be where they are today. And he was the one of the original members of the "27 Club".Did anyone apart from me watch the documentary?

I saw part of it and it was very good and informative.
"And he was one of the original members of the "27 club"".

You make it sound like an achievement, immy:-) I'm sure he'd rather have preferred not to have been a member.
I watched it, and was intrigued. I am in touch with Marianne Faithful, and will have a chat with her about Brian.

I think his insecurity made him difficult to live and work with, but his impact on The Stones cannot be overestimated.

@17.38.Oooh,name dropper....She was certainly involved with the Stones and Mr Jones. But like poor Brian, she was also found to be surplus to requirements.Does Marianne have an AB account?
rather a whitewash. As I recall, Anita didn't just dump him cruelly, she walked out because he beat her up. Whatever his talents as a musician he was a nasty piece of work with women. Even Keith in his autobiography, with the advantage of hindsight, regrets he did nothing to stop it.

Probably Brian was the original"sex, drugs and rock n roll".Seems to have had a couple of illegitimate children before he was eighteen, was among the first to get into LSD and did some of the best vibes in rock and roll i.e.Little Red Rooster,Paint it Black,Ruby Tuesday, etc.
at least five children by different women (the first was 14); he dumped them all

Ynnaf - I would suggest Ms Faithfull does not post on AB, she is not a fan of technology.
And too much of a free spirit.
