Sounds bad for you LadyCG. A bad night and you have my sympathy. A bad night is not good when you have to cope with family and work the next day and another hot miserable day.

Are you working from home ? or in an air-conditioned office?

I'm working from home today, thankfully. I've got the bi-folds open fully and I have a fan here on the table so I'm okay for now. It's the middle of the night that's the killer :-(

I'm with you re the heat, ladyj.
I'm not really far from you and we have had no rain for about 2 months. Lawn like straw and everything looking half dead. Including me!
I have a wasting disease which doesn't like it too hot or too cold. Completely shattered.
Still as you say it won't last forever. It just seems like it!

Agree with you about everything looking like straw. My neighbour (farmer) is not over happy about it as he is having to feed his cattle and sheep. Something unknown at this time of the year.

I will send the OH up into the attic later to retrieve the big fan. He won't let me have the windows open at night because he wakes up with aches and pains if he does.

Good morning ladies and everyone. That sounds terrible have him shunting into the attic. Myself I close the windows at dusk due to insects etc. Maybe it is the heat but body clock has reversed as in, instead of still being awake at 4:30 am. That is lately the new time I awake. Hope you all have some luck in sorting things out for yourselves.

It's looking like another hot one ( I have a big fan working on PC) oop here in West yorkshire out to the shop at 7:30 put a T-Shirt on as no to scare the neighbourhood.

Thank you, nice surprise when Tesco delivers today although have receipt I purposely didn't look at my order, I booked a slot two weeks ago and added stuff since but I can't recall what I've added etc.
